I love a good movie but it’s the old movies I am drawn to for my work inspiration.
I love the drama, glamour, elegance and fun embodied in the style of Grace, Audrey, Marilyn and Elizabeth.
What I like today is the fashion and style of: Anne Hathaway, Victoria Beckham, Carey Mulligan, Rachel Weisz, Emma Stone, Emily Blunt, Naomi Watts, Blake Lively, Natalie Portman, Kate Winslet, Amanda Seigfreid, Dame Helen Mirrin and the lovely Jessica Mauboy.
I have always loved Jane Fonda’s style and she still gets it right today.
Men with strong individual styles are James Franco, Johnny Depp and Robert Downey Jnr. Their roguish good looks and strong characters always appeal.
Hugh Jackman, Daniel Craig and Ryan Gosling are not only good looking but dress in great tailored and elegant suits, making them a cut above the rest.
I love to recreate the old Hollywood style but add a modern twist for evening or day wear.
To make a fashion statement you need to understand the difference between styling your look for daytime or evening events.
When I am out with friends in the film or fashion industry I like to mix it up. Sometimes I feel a little dramatic and Hollywood other times I want a sultry and sexy look.
I have created five MVC styles as an homage to some of Hollywood’s most beautiful women.
Make-up: natural – day or bridal
Hair: soft twisted roll, front swept
Make-up: soft smokey – evening or bridal
Hair: teased crown with a French twist at the back
Make-up: Hollywood drama, eyeliner and lashes – day, evening, party or bridal
Hair: blond tussled curls
Make-up: strong smokey, mysterious for evening
Hair: soft Hollywood waves
Make-up: sultry, sexy, light lips
Hair: tousled, imperfect, sexy hair
